As someone well on the other side of 40 who is a regular listener, I can tell you that it is possible to get better with age. I'm not talking about being more "grown-up" (whatever that means). I'm talking about understanding that you can own your own life--despite what others may say or think of you. I am less and less easily embarrassed or made self-conscious. In my college years (when I was listening to the then underground "new wave") I used to have the idea that when you got older there was some kind of book that was handed to you so that you wouldn't wear mini-skirts past a certain age, quit listening to new music, etc. Things can be tough at any age--I certainly saw my share of 30s-angst. I'd say overall I'm happy and looking forward to living to at least 100. Anyway, I'm rambling. I just wanted to give a shout out to you and a special thanks to you for rocking Sunday mornings. I appreciate your taste and incisive commentary and of course the Ramones played entirely too loud...glad you were born. Enjoy your day. Happy birthday, Jason!
